MAXIMUM PRODUCT YIELD: Infinitely adjustable air pressure is used to provide uniform densification of the raw material as required to achieve optimum yield. Variations due to type of fish or the process parameters can be adjusted to meet yield requirements. FILL WEIGHT CONTROL: Fill weight can be maintained to within 2% of target weight in most cases depending on can size and product. Micro adjustments to fill weight can be made while the machine is in operation. PRODUCTION SPEED: The Luthi SP Filler is capable of 180/220 CPM with complete can and product control at all times. CONTAINER FLEXIBILITY: The basic principle of the Luthi SP Filler allows for multiple cake heights with a common diameter initially specified. Change parts are available for other can diameter and heights required. SANITATION AND SAFETY: Components used in the manufacture of the SP filler are all food grade approved and designed for ease of cleaning and sanitizing. The basic machine design incorporates safe features that allow efficient operation, maintenance and adjustment. PRODUCT INTEGRITY: The filler is designed to form the required cake in a metering chamber with a minimum of product movement before positioning the cake into the can. The cake is under positive control at all times so as not to create deformation or degradation of appearance. RELIABILITY: The Luthi SP Filler is designed to operate continuously for many years under severe operating and environmental conditions. Some Luthi SP Fillers have been in continuous service more than a decade. SERVICE: Since Luthi fillers are leased, provision is made for inspection, service, training and free wear parts replacement with each facility. Our highly trained service technicians travel world wide. APPLICATIONS: Filling Solid Pack Tuna. There are a series of models available for specific applications to ensure that the accuracy, speed, production rate and end product integrity are maintained. 2. What is the term of the lease? 5 years; negotiated renewals. 3. Are spare parts included in the lease? Normal wear parts are currently supplied free of charge. 4. Is service included in the lease? Yes, installation, start up and annual inspections are provided free of charge by a Luthi Technical Service Representative. The customer is responsible for the Representative’s travel and living expenses while servicing at the plant. 5. Does Luthi provide training? Yes, training is carried out at the time of commissioning. Manuals and video tapes, in some languages, are used and left for future reference. 6. What is the average filling speed of Luthi SP Fillers? The SP filler packing Tuna fish has been designed to operate at 180/220 cans per minute. 7. What is the delivery time for a filler? Luthi Fillers are custom made to meet each customers precise need, thus delivery times vary. Deliveries of 90 days after receipt of order are average. 8. Who uses the Luthi SP Filler?
